A Long Lasting Sight of Capella Pedregal
Capella Pedregal at Cabo San Lucas is a breathtaking complex with luxurious styling and astonishing location. It is one of the most wanted travelling destinations in Mexico. It is situated at the Baja California, Mexico’s peninsula, and was originally intended to be a celebrity or VIP resting place. This is one of the reasons why this astonishing hotel was built in such a secluded spot, the contact with the outer world being possible only via a Dos Mares private tunnel which is 300 meters long. It is in the vicinity of Cabo San Lucas (5 minutes walk).
Capella Pedregal is a true resting place, predominantly due to its location far away from the crowded settlements. A Mexican Manual Diaz Rivera was the first to explore the surroundings of the Cabo village and discover this unprecedented area. He bought this 360 acres large piece of land in 1974 and built Pedregal de Cabo. This was done with help of an architect Don Manuel. His oldest grandson continued the tradition some thirty years later, building a new holiday resort on the last available piece of land and christened it Capella Pedregal. The hotel was opened in 2009.
As for the design, the Spanish styling and Mexican passion are mixed in a superb outcome. The nostalgical base is enriched with modern accents, making this pleasurable getaway a true travelling giant. In the very center of this locale there is a sand-built swimming pool with a slow water stream opening a magnificent view for the guests.
Capella Pedregal is situated at the place where Pacific Ocean meets Sea of Cortez and where sometimes whales appear in the water relatively close to the coastline. In the hotel there does not exist one single chamber without a breathtaking view. The entire complex is facing the water.
Baya California has mostly dry climate and good weather year around. This has brought a lot of travelers to this location. It is said to have 300 sunny days in the year and visitors are granted one day more for free in the case it rains during one of the days of their stay at the location.
Capella Pedregal is featuring 96 rooms which are equipped with all the imaginable luxury. There is Spanish furniture offering both tradition and modern impression. Each room has a fireplace. Furthermore, technical development of the resort is at the level of business lounge: there is wireless internet and LCD TV. For the outdoor activities there are stargazing telescopes and whale-watching binoculars. Finally, there is a plunging pool with a view towards the Pacific.
In the end, Capella Pedregal contains also a world known luxurious Auriga Spa. It is meant to be a healing place with alternative, natural and Mexican medicine using herbs and oils for the first treatments. Auriga has plenty of treatment packages, the most famous one being the so-called ”Tapping into the Rhythm”, which merges different seasons with lunar cycles. The designer of Auriga Spa is Sylvia Sepielli who is an expert in curanderismo healing treatments. This all adds up to a conclusion that Auriga is a must for any Baja visitor.
